The process is straightforward but it’s a lot of detailed work which we do with care.

First we have to prepare the area meeting. We put a plastic sheets for our paint sprayer not to disrupt any of the items on the patio.

We organized all of the patio furniture and cleaned them off to get them free of debris and dirt. After that was done, we scanned all of the patio furniture items for any wood imperfections or cracks and filled them.

Even though are going with white on white and many of them, we still sprayed a primer we had a primer layer, and then we added two layers of Behr exterior paint .

We were sure to mask tape off all vulnerable areas of any of the furniture, so that no unpaintable areas will get touched by the paint.

Wicker Patio Furniture Painter: Reviving Time-Honored Craftsmanship

There’s a lot to cover as a patio furniture painter. Wicker patio furniture, with its intricate woven design and lightweight nature, has graced outdoor spaces for centuries, offering both style and comfort. However, just like any other outdoor furniture, over time, the elements can take a toll on its vibrant appearance. Fortunately, painting is an excellent way to breathe new life into aged or faded wicker, ensuring it remains a charming centerpiece for many more years.

The process of painting wicker furniture is different from painting flat wooden surfaces. Due to its woven structure, it has numerous nooks and crannies, making it essential to approach the task with patience and attention to detail. Before embarking on this rejuvenation project, one should be armed with the right materials and knowledge.

Before any painting begins, the furniture must be cleaned thoroughly. Over time, dust and debris settle into the crevices of the wicker. Using a brush or a vacuum with a brush attachment can help get rid of the loose dirt. After this, a mixture of water and mild detergent can be used to wash the furniture, followed by a thorough rinse with a garden hose. It’s vital to let the wicker dry completely, which may take a day or two, depending on the climate.
